I just bought a new Mazda 3, in Velocity Red. I want to start it out with the best paint protection/shine I can. I done a lot of "detailing" on my own on my previous cars ('98 Chev Cavalier that still looks new-ish, and my wife's '05 Malibu, and my friend's '03 Mustang GT).
What's the best procedure to start out my "Zoom-Zoom" ride to protect and shine it? I live in Minnesota, so I'd like to make sure it will survive our winters.
I've got 2 big tubs full of car wash soaps, various polishes (Nu-finish, Turtle Wax Ice, etc), waxes (Eagle One Gel, Gold Class, and others). A 10" orbital buffer, microfiber towels up the ying-yang, etc, etc.
I bought some NXT specifically to use on my new Mazda, so I'm eager to try that.
What a better way to spend a Saturday than shining up your car?
