Now before you guys go nuts, i know this is something we should not do but if we are wanting to remove all wax from our car to try new steps or a new wax, would this be a rare instance to wash the car with dish soap? Or does it not even matter that you have a different type of wax already on the car?

Re: Dish Soap to Wash
Once in a while wont damage the car, other than the lack of lubrication possibly helping swirls form.
Its every 2 weeks for a couple years, and there is no grease in the hinges, dried out rubber, etc appearing.
If you want Meguiars answer, it would be the claying/cleaning steps will remove wax, no need to do it with a harsh soap.
There are some other companies that want everything removed with a stronger soap to ensure a clean surface.
As far as one wax interfering with another, again, Meguairs will say if the surface is free of debris, you can wax over another wax if you like. Other companies want a fresh surface for their wax.
So I guess the answer is 12.....2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue
