Well I just finished restoring all the headlights on my house. But can I use the buff pad that came with the Headlight Restoration Kit for like applying UC on a car or anything? Because it kinda seems like a waste to only use it for restoring headlights and all my headlights are already clean and back.

Re: Other uses for Drill Attached buff pad that came with the Headlight Restore kit?
I would advise against using it on your paint. It is a very small wool pad, and being used on a drill is a forced rotation, just like on a rotary. You will likely mess up your paint more than actually helping it, with a good possibility that you will tilt it on its edge and burn through your paint.
Use it for headlights and headlights only
I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.
I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
Remove swirls my friends.

I see... I didn't think of it that way, Thanks for your thoughts and warnings for this! It would had been scary to see this ruin my paint.Toyota Corolla S ZZE136L
After using UC, UP, and UW... I'm not happy with smooth as glass.
Smooth as Glass is an old standard, the new standard for paint texture is Meguiar's Ultimate Quality...

Would probably do more harm than good. Keep it for using PlastX on your headlights. I like to keep pads separated by product to avoid cross contamination.
Quick question about the Headlight Restoration Kit, Is it OK to use on taillights too? Would assume so but you never know.

It said on the box it's good for any clear plastic that's not layered. And I recall it saying it's good for Tail lights, Boat/Motorcycle plastic windshields, and surprisingly it said plastic aquariums (like the ones for fish). So yes, it's good for tail lightsToyota Corolla S ZZE136L

I say just keep the pad strictly for the headlights. Even though you restored them once, you more then likely stripped the UV protection clean off the headlights, so they will haze up faster this time around.
OR find some people at your work or in your area, and charge them say...20-30 bucks or more to do their headlights. Make a little money with what you have left over.
Never know, could turn into a business

That yellow wool pad is the perfect fit for the insides of the polished tips of the Magnaflow exhaust on my Crossfire. A little Hot Rims Mag & Aluminum Polish on the pad, spin up the drill and voila! - gleaming clean exhaust tips inside and out.
