What he said! I just use APC or APC+ 10:1 on an as needed basis, which is basically never, because I keep my interior clean.
I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.
I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
Remove swirls my friends.

Re: APC on dash board's..
Yeah, If your looking to get your interior clean for the first time in a long time do a little APC as mentioned , wipe on, work it in to the areas that are more heavily soiled and wipe it off, then put a good even coat of 40 on the plastic/vinyl to protect it.
If even the APC wont clean it on the more heavily soiled areas try a little Mr Clean Magic Eraser. But be warned, too much pressure, or using it too long in one spot you can eventually strip dye out of plastic, vinyl or leather. Just the MCME and some water, easy to medium pressure and should clean most of your worries away.

Re: APC on dash board's..
Like other here have said;
For heavily soiled vinyl like dash boards use an all purpose cleaner. Most of us buy it by the gallon and dilute it so suit a specific task. It's generally diluted from 4:1 to 10:1 depending on where it's used.
Vinyl is one of those material that should clean up pretty well and once dry a nice application of something like Meguiar's M40 will finish it up nicely.
Simple Green seems to be one of those chemicals that I just don't have allot of use for. I've tried it over the years and have found it to be OK at best. Even though it's "environmentally friendly" if used straight it corrodes aluminum...BobbyG

Re: APC on dash board's..
I only use APC 10:1 on a periodic basis- like once a month or so. This is to remove the accumulated dirt on the vinyls like the dash and side panels. But I tend to be careful on spraying it directly in the black trims as it tends to 'dry' out leaving it somewhat grayish in appearance.
