I personally wax my car once every two months with NXT or goldclass wax and I use Ultimate Quik wax every two weeks just to boost the shine and protection. Also, you need to wax your car again when water stops beading on the paint or when quick detailer becomes harder to wipe away ( when claying or doing touch ups)
P.S Its rains a lot in my area so I wax it a lot (once in two months) , I think most people wax every 3 months or longer to avoid build up. I guess it really depends on your weather and how much you drive
O, and I forgot to add , I wax my car more in the winter compared to the summer , just because of the rain, snow and salt. I put a good coat of wax at the start of summer and use quik wax every so often.
I wax my cars once a month, but it's because I love doing it, lol.
I could probably easily get away with once every two months in Houston, which experiences similar temperatures to Arizona.
Yup, once for every month or 2 months should be fine.
For me, I usually wax about twice every month just because I enjoy doing it; besides, Houston's summer is extremely hot (100+ degree F) in which everything outside melt so it's good to protect the paint with wax. (On a typical summer day if I park my car outside, the interior of my car feels like an oven which is a very good indication of how hot the sun is!)
I commend the advice of a (former) MOL member: wax your car whenever a characteristic that you value begins to diminish--e.g., slickness, beading, gloss, wetness, etc. Follow this counsel and your car will always be well protected.
Swirls hide in the black molecular depths, only waiting for the right time to emerge and destroy your sanity.
