If everything fails, just buy a touch-up paint from Walmart that matches the color of your vehicle to hide the rock chip... then wax over the touch up paint w/ Meguiars liquid or paste wax... that's what I did with my front end of 4runner of rock chips and rust spots... now you can hardly notice them at all... I get a lot of rock chips on my car since I commute on the highway a lot and sometimes follow big trucks too close...
I hate to say it but there is a chance those bugs have etched the paint a bit.
If you cant get them off with compounds or products that are supposed to remove that kind of thing, then it may be a lost cause.
Obviously keep trying stuff you have around, or try some new Megs products to see where it gets you, like some M105, its great stuff, even for leather cleaning...hehe (do a search)
The reason I say it could have etched your paint is because bug guts are essentially acid.
Would you wash your car with the chemicals you put in your yard to kill bugs? Probably not. What happens is over the years, bugs become more immune to the nasty chemicals we put out the kill them. They still ingest them, but turns their blood basically into a nasty little mild acid. So they hit your car, splat, blood and guts on the car, and the longer it sits and bakes in the sun. The longer it has to eat into your paint.
I hope you get it worked out, I'm sure it can be done, just try some stuff and see where it gets you. Good luck.
There are a few messes on that cover, the bugs are the white shadows which is what I was trying to scrub off. The black spots are chips, the cover is black under the silver Toyo paint so that's what you're seeing, there aren't any tar spots.
I'll be giving the dryer sheet a shot tonight when I get home from the Tint Factory.
Thanks for all of the help- I've never had a problem cleaning/correcting before, but this bug mess is worse than anything I've seen...

BOUNCE sheet-wet it a bit, bugs will melt of like butter, yes even old ones! TRY IT!
What grit sandpaper does a drier sheet equate to?
I have no doubt that it will remove bugs (not the etching), but what else is it doing to the paint? I don't think I'd recommend this as a general practice.
Well, I tried the dryer sheet, and no dice. I've come to the conclusion that they're burned into the clearcoat and the only two options left are a wet sand or re-spray. It was worth a shot, but they're just too far embedded into the paint now. For their new Fusion, I just got them a clear bra...

I found it hard to believe, so I did a scratch test on a CD. It did it dry and wet. It did scratch it a little but not to bad considering how hard I was scrubbing. Nothing like sandpaper, even less damage than a cheap microfiber could inflict.
