So which is better to use? UQD or UQW? I bought UQD that i use when the car gets dusty or bird poop in between washes. Which offers a better shine? Not really sure the difference between both.
Am i obsessed?? A car is the second biggest financial investment for most people, why not keep it looking better than new?
When there is bird drops on my car, I will use water to gently remove them. I always keep a few bottles of water in the trunk. Then I will wipe the excess water off with MF.
When my car is dirty, I wash it. When I have more time, I wax it.
UQD is for daily use to remove dust, bird droppings, etc. You can use this on a slightly dirty surface (this is where you must use your best judgment on whether or not you can use UQD or if it would be safer just to do a regular wash), or on a clean surface, whichever you prefer.
UQW is a wax booster, something you probably don't want to use more than once a week. You can use this after weekly washings, or when you notice it is getting harder to wipe off your quick detailer. Note: UQW is designed and recommended by Meguiar's to ONLY BE USED ON A CLEAN SURFACE. Do not use this product to remove light surface contaminants.

As mentioned, you probably want UQW and a spray detailer of some type on your shelf.
The spray detailer could be UQD/#135 if you want the polymer coating, or QD/LT/FI if you want a spray detailer that cna be used with claying also.
As far as removing bird droppings, I am certainly on the side of some using some extra lubrication such as a detailing spray to help get gunk off my paint whenever possible.
