  • Dirty Paint

    Hello,
I have a small problem on certain parts of my car the paint looks dirty. I wash my car atleast once every week. I have used the meguiar cleaner wax before and it doesn't seem to work to great. I recently bought a couple items all meguiar brand and wanted to do a good detail on my car but im not sure if any of it will take the stains or dirt off. These are the step I was going to do. If anyone thinks I should switch up to a better process please share it with me.

1.Wash the Car ( Nxt Car wash soap)
    2.Clay (Smooth surface clay kit)
    3.SwirlX
4.meg. NXT Tech Wax (not the paste one)

From what i'm told, claying should help out a tremendous amount, you're plan seems great to me but im sure the vets on here will have more advice.
Am i obsessed?? A car is the second biggest financial investment for most people, why not keep it looking better than new?

      Re: Dirty Paint

Definatley wash, clay everything, SwirlX on a test area.

Hard to say for sure what those stains are, but that will give the best starting point. If something stronger is needed, or some kind of Bug and Tar remover, etc.

It can be used more than once if it is not too dirty.

Actually, you may want to just wash and SwirlX an area, and see what comes off before worrying about claying.

            Re: Dirty Paint

I think you have a good plan of attack. Just remember small areas 2x2 to do the claying and use plenty of lube. Before you move onto a new section, knead the clay and get a clean area to do the next section.

Work the swirl-x in small areas also. A common mistake is people tend to work a area to large.

            Good luck.

The round yellow disks are all the same, the name seems to change.
