-megs gold class will strip the wax every time you use it .
-megs gold class adds silvery shine and ruin the look of Lsp .
-megs gold class collects dust like magnet.
-megs gold class leaves more water spots .

I personally don't have any of these issues and love Gold Class Shampoo & Conditioner. You will find that most people on this forum feel the same way.

The OP doesn't provide any explanations or examples. Without gathering more information, there is very little value to the above statements.

Bottom line is not everything you read on the Internet is true. If you really want to know the truth about their product ask Meguiar's directly.

I love this product too, this is not the problem. I ask because these info sound strange for me...and I want to clarify with your help, maybe you have done several tests with this product.
        thanks!

If you read through that entire thread you'll see some people liking and other people disliking almost every product mentioned! That is about the only thing that makes sense in that thread, honestly.

We'd like to know where the one guy got the idea that Meguiar's is always asking people if they wax their cars every week and alluding to the fact we suggest this because of Gold Class stripping their wax. We never ask if a customer is waxing weekly (and we don't even recommend that!!!) and, well, Gold Class simply does not strip wax. If anything, most people here will tell you that it actually increases gloss or, at the very least, prevents the loss of gloss with regular use.

But really, what that thread shows is that people have their favorite products. We're fine with that, but it does sting a tiny bit when serious misinformation is being spread. Personal opinion is one thing, but misinformation is another thing.

I have never encountered any of those problems. In fact, One of the reasons I am on this forum is because of the outstanding results I had when I first used the Gold class shampoo. It just made the car look cleaner, better then normal.

"on the internet" is this forum itself, right?

Now let's not exaggerate ... I have explained why I asked this, but yet I only received verbal assurances. somehow you have any tests to support what you say?
                      Thanks!

I do not get undestand ... people blame this shampoo on DW forum as "eating" wax that would not have a good finish.
I repeat, it's not my ideea, i ask these question, nothing much!

It's an old wives tale. I have used Gold Class off and on for 10 years and like it. Car wash shampoos are designed to be gentle on paint finishes, kind of like the way hair shampoos are designed to be gentle on your hair and scalp, a special preparation.

Sodium lauryl sulfate is the main ingredient in soaps, shampoos and many hygiene products. It is essentially the salts of fatty acids. It is used in lower concentrations in products like toothpaste, shaving cream and shampoos, while products like degreasers, floor cleaners, car wash soaps, ect., is used in higher concentrations. SLS is a surfactant and is highly effective.

Dishwashing soap is a surfactant, and has much more SLS than hand soaps and shampoos. Car wash soaps indeed have SLS, but are engineered to be gentle on automotive paint finishes. Soap has been around for thousands of years, and is not very complicated. The effectiveness, or the ability of soap to break down and remove oils and residues could be dictated by how much SLS is in the formula.

I would think that a reputable car car company like Meguiar's can handle coming up with a formula (car wash soap/shampoo) that won't strip the wax off of the paint. After all, the first recorded evidence of the production of soap-like materials dates back to around 2800 BC in Ancient Babylon.
