  • EXTRA All Surface Cleaner in wheel wells

Would the EXTRA All Surface Cleaner be safe for use in wheel wells? The inside of my truck's wheel wells consists of small areas covered with those plastic splash shields and large areas of undercoating. Thus, if EXTRA is to be used in wheel wells, it must also be safe on tyres, rims, and disc brakes. Speaking of disc brakes, any ideas on how best to remove rust stains on disc brakes? Would EXTRA work safely here as well?

    Extra

Extra would work well for cleaning the wheel wells and tires only. This product is very concentrated, so I recommend that you wet the wheel well and tire with water, then spray the wheel well, spray and scrub the tire. Thoroughly rinse the tire and wheel well with water. Do this one section at a time. I recommend that the product sit on the surface LESS then one minute.

As for the brakes and rims. Until I know more about the type of rims you have I recommed using soap and water and a good wheel brush for hard to reach areas.

Give me details about your wheels (Manufacture, how many pieces, material of wheel, chrome, anodized, polished aluminum) and I can maybe recommend one of our wheel cleaners to you.

    Enjoy!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe just driving and then braking removes the rust. Your brake pads should remove the rust from the discs.

Are you talking about the part you can see? Or some other part? I know they flash rust after washing them, but they go away after driving.

Yeah, not sure what you mean. Your brakes will have brake dust on them...

          EDIT:

Whoops.. thought you said dust, not rust..

That's the answer I was after..."flash rust" must be what I'm seeing because after getting back from lunch today, I noticed that the rust was gone ...so I guess I don't need to worry about it...thanks to all for responding so quickly !
