My mother in law bought a black 08 mazda 6. I has towel and swirl marks pretty bad and water spots. I used Meguiars polish #7 followed by the deep shine wax. It looks a lot better than it did but up close the water marks and scratches are still there. What should i do?? i used an orbital buffer to apply and a microfiber towel under the buffer to remove. Is by hand better?

Re: Need some help/advice
#7 is a pure polish, meaning only polishing oils, nothing for cleaning or defect removal.
You want to look at getting some SwirlX and Ultimate Compound on your shelf.
You can try your buffer, or by hand. Not all of the cheap buffers work well to remove swirls, but nothing wrong with trying.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Will i need to do anything special before using the ultimate compound because i have polished and waxed it already?Am i obsessed?? A car is the second biggest financial investment for most people, why not keep it looking better than new?

Re: Need some help/advice
Well, you would want to try SwirlX first on a test area, and if doesnt do it, then step up to UC.
But no, both products will cut through the wax easily.
Incidently, if you have never clayed, its good as well. You would do that after washing ane before the SwirlX/UC.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue
