Hey guys, I'm about to apply NXT 2.0 on my car, currently the humidity is set at about 80%. From your experience, how long should I wait before removing??
About an hour, it might take longer. It depends how thick you put it on. If it was an ultra light coat (as it should be), I'd say an hour should be good.
Just make sure it is not smearing at all when you do a swipe test. It's really the only way to know for sure.
I live in Florida. Seems like it is always very humid here. The best advice I could give you is after 40 minutes or so. Do the swipe test. I have found that even on humid days, drying times vary.
I went for a full detail on this one since it's my personal car (m205, m07, Nxt2.0) I waited about 1h30 for the wax to dry. I did the swipe test, it was dry. I removed all the wax, but on the hood, I can notice some ''cloud'' just like if the wax wasnt completly dry. I'm not sure of what i'm seeing since it's cloudy outside and I don't have the apropriate lighting in my garage. I rewiped the car down to make sure I didn't forget any spot. Right now I have to go work with the car. It's gonna be raining for the next 3-4 days here.
My question is : when the sun will be back, I'll wash the car and dry it. If I can still see those ''clouds'' would waxing the car again get rid of them? Or will I have to use a paintcleaner? I feel like I applied it thin enough, it wasn't too thick for sure, I applied it with my G100 (thx bill) and a finishing pad, removed by hand.
If you guys could give me your toughts about it, it would be fantastic!
Thanks!
Marc
You're welcome. Hopefully you get a lot of use out of it.
Regarding the cloudiness, it sounds like you still have some residue left from the wax. Perhaps what you could do next time you wax is after attempting to removing most of it as you normally would... go over it once again with a fresh/clean microfiber cloth.
At this stage, you'll be washing your car again and any traces will likely be gone, but you may want to go over it with Quik Detailer or Last Touch. I like using a little Last touch while I'm drying my (black) vehicle with a Water Magnet anyhow. It really eliminates those water spots. Just a few shots on the Water Magent as I go and a couple more on the paint once in a while is all it takes.
Anyhow first, I'd want to make sure all the cloudiness is gone. Likely you'll want to go for a second coat of wax anyhow and hopefully you don't have the high humidity this time around.

+1 I've had this same issue, but now I use a couple of clean Supreme Shine MF towels and go over the whole car and especially these areas REAL SLOW! Problem solved.

Final Wiping Techniques
One mention about your final wiping technique. (Not initial removal of product, but after the most of a product has been removed and now you're just giving the finish a final wipe).
