So I washed my girlfriends car recently, used ONR then Ultimate Quik Wax after when drying. I noticed that on two spots, on the back doors on either side near the bottom close to the wheel well the finish keeps turning rough and almost looks powdery/white. If I swipe some UQW on it it disappears for a second and turns the red of the car, but then it slowly appears as it dries. Couldn't seem to get rid of it, may need to take a clay bar to it. The car was previously clay barred then waxed with cleaner wax. It doesn't get the most regular cleanings, but this is weird that it disappears when wet, but appears when dry. Any ideas?

Re: powdery finish keeps appearing?
I'm at work right now, and I'll get some. I just needed to post this thread first as a reminder to me to take pics lol. Figured I may be able to describe it accurately enough, but it proved tougher than I thought. I'll try to get some.

Re: powdery finish keeps appearing?
If it looks like something was sprayed onto the surface, then try to clay bar it, but if it looks like the paint is actually oxidized, I'd suggest trying some Ultimate Compound on the area.
I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.
I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
Remove swirls my friends.
