  • Uh oh... Quick question about wheel cleaner...

Just finished up cleaning my car. I hand washed it, hand dryed it, etc, all my normal routine. Going to go over it with some UQW to finish it off. Grab the bottle, spray 1/4 of the roof, and start to wipe... Then I realized, I grabbed the wrong bottle! I accidently grabbed spray on wheel cleaner. So i quickly wipe it off, wiped the section down with a damp micro fibre cloth, and then saturate the area in UQW, new cloth, work that in and wipe it off... Repeat about 3 times...

Should I be ok!? The wheel cleaner is the all purpose, clear coat safe, spray on, let sit, rinse off stuff...

Should be fine, though wax may be gone.

Yeah, it may have removed wax, but it wont do any long term damage.

Ok good... I kinda figured it was ok, it didn't sit till dry or anything, and wheels are esentially painted and clearcoated like the rest of the car...

        Thanks for the quick responses!

Your fine as long as it was removed.

The car right now looks great, like it never happend... But lets say it dried on and there was an issue. You would think it would show up as a dry-cloudy-blotch or something, right away?

Put it this way, it looks great now, clean like the rest of the car, but I don't want to wake up to a disaster tomorrow morning!
