New to forum and detailing, Have a few quesitions.

Ive been trolling the threads the last few days. Reading up on what to buy and steps to apply. So today i bought everything i beleive i need, just want to make sure i got what i needed, and that i got them in the correct order. I plan on detailing my car tomarrow.

-DC car wash
-Clay bar and SwirlX
-Show car glaze
-#26 HiTech Yellow Wax Liquid

Thats the order im goin to apply them. This sound correct?

Make sure you get a good Tire Dressing (My favorite is megs Hot Shine Gel) and also dress your wheel wells with it. Nothing looks worse than a GREAT looking car with dull looking tires and wheel wells.

Well... I am sure you will find loads of products to use after those 5....... Still have tires, wheels, glass, interior, dressings, metal, etc....

That is a good order. Good luck. You should get something along the way of tire and interior protectorant.

Ya, i figured it take it slow for now, and just focus on the main body parts, and next time take it a little further. I attend a few car shows ever year, so i want a good, clean car haha

i got a meguiars detail kit a few yrs ago, and i still got some of the tire cleaner with it, thats why i did buy any this time.

How ever for the interior, i am kinda at a loss. I beleive i got some wipes somewhere, but what would you guys suggest?

And with the reading ive done, i saw people suggesting to but 2 coats of #26 on. Does a good job the second time i take it?

I have also become a fan of Meguiars Tire Foam for wheels wells. Fairly cheap and gives the wells a nice, dark sheen. It's alright to use on tires but I prefer to use Hot Shine Tire Gel.

Well, depends what needs done for the interior.

If it just needs dusted, some Quick Interior Detailer can be used, or follow it up with either the Supreme Shine or Natural Shine dressings.

If you need a bit more cleaning, the best would be All Purpose Cleaner or All Purpose Cleaner+ for the cleaning, then use one of the above dressings.

And yes, two thin coats of wax are best.

i deff need something for the wheel wells. Ill give the tire foam a try. I was gonna detail my car tomarrow, but they are now calling for rain! i hope not!
