Can you mix differnt wax mfg. products?

I recently waxed a vehicle with 3M brand 39526 show car paste wax. Did a good job, but I generall use Meg. products, specifically NXT liquid. Should I wait for the 3M wax to wear off or can I wax over it with NXT? Will it just seal in the 3M wax or what will happen? Thanks...Jon

Though one usually puts a synthetic sealant under a carnauba wax, NXT is pretty good at bonding to just about anything. So I would think you would have no problems about topping the 3M wax with NXT the next time you wash the car, if you really want to.
