DC#2 Polish make reflection deeper, but...

... but my car is silver!!!

After using the Deep Crystal System Polish, I found that my car looks deeper in color than before. It looks like "shiny grey metallic" instead of silver to me...

Is this how the product is meant for? Any people use this on Silver / White cars??

Any type of "pure polish" or glaze is meant to enhance the gloss/depth of the paint before a LSP is applied.

I've been having difficulties noticing a difference on my dark blue car with #7... So I'm not really sure how it is supposed to look. But it sounds like from your description you did it right.

If you want a bit more "pop" from your shiny gray metallic, try NXTv2 for your wax. It's reflective look really makes my wifes silver Suby look great.

NXT 2.0 has mild cleaning agents in it though which would diminish/remove the "pure polish" or glaze.

NXT has extremely little cleaners in it....it's low enough to say it doesn't have cleaners. I thought the same as you and was proved wrong by the meguiars guys themselves. I wouldn't use NXT after m07 thinking it would remove it, but I was corrected.

Meguiars products are designed to work together.

It will not remove the M07.

It is nice to see so many replies from all of you...
If I am doing the right things about the product, I think I will continue my polishing work on my whole car...

It will not remove the M07.

While it may be true that NXT 2.0 cleaning agents wont remove M07, saying that it is because Meguiars products are designed to work together is too vague a statement. There are definitely products in the Meguiars line that cannot be effectively layered.

I'll have to try out some of my NXT 2.0 over some glazes I have and see the results now that you guys say the cleaners are basically non-existant.

The cleaners are basically to make the wax adhere to the surface.

If you think about it, wax is non adhesive to begin with. There's no reason that applying a wax to a car and wiping it off would cause it to layer over the paint. The mere act of wiping off the wax would technically completely wipe it all off, especially if the surface was polished and smooth to begin with. At least, this is how it was explained to me in the past.

Time for someone to do a hood test on a black car with clearcoated paint: after properly prepping the surface, polish one half of the hood with one of Meguiar's pure polishes (M07 or DCP) and top with NXT and just wax the other half with NXT. Then ask a couple of folks to take a look at the hood and ask them if they can see any difference between the two halves.
