  • deep crystal polish

I've corrected some light swirls tonight with uc, followed by the deep crystal polish.

OMG, it was dead hard to take the polish off ..

    .. hard.

#26 was a breeze to apply and polish off.

Why was dcp so stubborn on the paint?

    Re: deep crystal polish

FRS, did you apply the Deep Crystal Polish in the shade? Did you by any chance allow the DCP to dry on the paint surface? If yes, that's the reason for its stubborness. DCP, like most pure polishes, need to be wiped off immediately after application. Meguiar's waxes need to dry to a haze before buffing off; Meguiar's polishes need to be removed while they are still wet (with one exception--M05).

Just a tip...in future if your polish drys, just use some fresh polish, apply on the dry polish and it will disolve what has dried and make it easy to remove.

Yes, I applied the dcp in my garage, it was about +20C, and yes the polish was extremely stubborn to remove.

What really confuses me here is the directions from the dcp bottle.

It reads:.. spread a thin, even coat over the entire vehicle, and let dry.

Anyone from megs to comment on this>?!?

Yeah.... some bottles were mislabeled a year or two ago. Would seem like they should be used up or recalled by now, but guess some are still out there.
