  • Two thumbs up for Scratch X 2.0

I had a couple of scratches on my C6Z06 corvette. The scratches were on the front passenger fender. So I brought my car to a proffessional detailer. The guy at the detail shop tried to buff out those scratches. Not to mention having the whole car detailed, buffed, waxed. Spent $150bucks, and looked like the scratches were gone.

After one car wash, I noticed the scratches again. But they were very faint, again much better than before. The scratches were not deep to begin with. You couldn't feel them running it with your finger nails.

So I decided to go to the local auto store, and see if there were any paste scratch removers. I saw the Scratch X 2.0 and bought it. After 2.5 hours of hard application using a foam pad. I was very impressed with the results. The scratches are completly gone. One thing I recc. Is to use blue masking tape, and mask off where the scratch is. This will allow you to pin point the area. So you don't waste your energy where it is not needed. It took alot of elbow grease, but was well worth it..

Nice looking Vette. Scratch-x is a very good product. Hope you remembered to re wax the area.

Thanks Mike. I didn't re-wax that area because I'm not completely done with that spot. I want to hit it one more time, and the car is covered up, and won't be driven until its 110%..

We don't normally like to make broad generalizations about the hardness of paint on a given car, but the C6 Corvette is notorious for having extremely hard paint. That is probably why a detailer who only charged $150 for a full buff out didn't get rid of them completely, and also why you're having to work so hard to remove them by hand. But at least you're removing them, which is the important part!

By the way, that is a fantastic color on your Vette - we don't see too many in that particular color but it really suits the car.
