  • water spots

I just started using the Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash. Since i have i have water spots. I don't recall having these spots using Eagle 1 Car Wash. Meguiars says it's the water, so wash & rinse in small sections. I did same results. Anyone have this issue?r

    Re: water spots

It's not the wash shampoo. It's the water. The only solution I have found, no matter what car wash I use and no matter how quickly I dry the car, is to wipe the car down after the wash with a quick detailer.

As far as removing the present water spots, try SwirlX--and if that doesn't work, Ultimate Compound. If you catch them early enough, a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and distilled water might work--but I never catch them early enough!

Water spots are the bane of my black car!
Swirls hide in the black molecular depths, only waiting for the right time to emerge and destroy your sanity.

I agree with akimel - it's most probably the water. I guess you have hard water in your area. Maybe Eagle 1 contained more water softening agents?? Anyway, the quick detailer option is a good one - I practice it myself.
I also noticed that the less wax protection on the paintwork, the more difficult it is to dry it without leaving water spots.

To go along with the subject here...could someone at Meguiars answer whether there are varying amounts of water softeners in the different lines of car wash?

I'm specifically interested in the NXT car wash/Ultimate Wash and Wax/Gold Class comparison.

Water spots. In Taiwan, I usually use M49 (OXIDATION REMOVER )for marine to remove them, and it can handle almost all cases in my experience. For you reference.
