  • Polish question?

Hey guys. I wanna get my car in tip top shape b4 i go off to college. I would like to add a polish to my paint. I live in the hot humid south and want something to make the paint pop. WHAT DO U RECCOMMEND?
and how do i apply a polish?
    THANKS

    Re: Polish question?

Well, DC Polish is easy to use. #7 is pretty top of the line, and #5 works well in humid environments.

You just want to apply it almost like a wax, just rubbing in gently, not working it in like a paint cleaner. Polishes do not need to dry, so you could do a panel, or half a panel, etc, then remove.

        You can.

You would have to compare for yourself if the difference is visible.

Do you have swirls in your paint? If you do, you are going to want to remove those first to get the optimal shine.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

          I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
          Remove swirls my friends.

            Re: Polish question?

I live south of you in Florida. I have never had much luck with #7. #5 works wonderfully for me. So, if your area of Georgia is humid. I would go straight for the #5.
