Which paint cleaner you need for a new car depends on the condition of that car. We've seen plenty of cars right out of the showroom with pretty darn heavy swirls that would have us reaching for Ultimate Compound right away. Others are actually in very good condition, so something less aggressive would be called for. Your best bet would be to get the car home and evaluate it critically to see what it needs. It might help to ask the dealer to NOT do any prep to the car prior to delivery. If the car is in good shape before that they may mess it up in prep. If it's already a mess, odds are they won't really fix anything. But that depends on the dealer - some do an excellent job prepping cars for delivery, others not so much.
