All I have done for all my cars is a wash, clay and then apply the product. VERY few instances where the car had a high WAX build up that had to be broken down. IF I was working on a relativly swirl free surface is hit with SwirlX and that is the least aggressive and would get it a clean of a surface as you can get.

Some people recommend a Alcohol Wipe down but I did not feel it was needed to do for #7.

Top with NXT 2.0 and then #26 Hi-tech Yellow and Stand Back....

It has been recommended so many times on this and other forums not to use dish soap for cars .. dish soap for plates, car wash for cars,

Well, dish soap, APC, degreaser, etc all fall into the 'only for special reasons' category. Would not wash like that often, if at all.

I can see a wonderful difference in the paint on myblack car after I apply #7, but I have to say that once I seal it in with a wax or sealant, I honestly cannot tell if #7 has made any difference. I just don't know. My suspicion is that the wax solvents, combined with the friction of wax application and removal, remove most if not all of the #7.

I suppose someone could to a hood comparison--half the hood glazed with #7 topped by NXT and the other half waxed with NXT alone. My guess is that even on a black car one won't see a difference. But I'm happy to be proven wrong!

Very interesting point.

I'm sure more experts will chime in now about this.

Do you you feel your theory is true of #26, Gold Class, and NXT Tech?
