Is it me or I waste much more product when I wax the car with the D/A? I mean, to wax a honda civic hood, how many times 'd you put more product over the pad?

Re: I am wasting too much wax
It depends how much wax you are applying each time. I applied wax to my pad twice when I waxed my dad's entire Honda Pilot. I put a bead around the edge of the pad and then an X in the middle as to use the most pad as possible.

Re: I am wasting too much wax
Sometimes I feel like the color of the car has to do with it as well. Some colors are harder to see wax on, therefore you put it on a little heavier, just because you see the wax once it is on heavier, where as a black car shows a thin layer very easily.
I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.
I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
Remove swirls my friends.

You should use less, and need to 're-coat" the pad less as you go.
So it might take 2, 3, 4 times right at first. But by the end, a well saturated pad should practically do a door with only a little added.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue
