  • 2007 Ford Escape

I wish to detail this car and would like to first list the Meguiar's products I now carry to get suggestions.
Products: NXT Gen Car wash, Color X, NXT Gen Tech Wax 2.0, NXT Glass Cleaner, NXT Gen Tech Protect, Ultimate Quik Detailer, Plastx, Quik Wax, Trim Detailer, NXT Metal Polish and Mirror Glaze

The vehicle I would like to do on Saturday, other than car wash had not been polished for over a year and has gone through the 4 seasons. There is nothing special on this vehicle.

I would like to get a forum suggestion on what to begin with and end. I do not have any motorized tools and do everything by hand.

I will chime in and say wash with nxt or gold class wash, clay and then go over with nxt wax. If you have some small scratches maybe hit them with some scratch x then wax.

Sounds like you have a great start! Maybe throw in some M205 or ,if needed, Ultimate Compound. To clean the paint and before you use Mirror Glaze on your car. Good luck! Do not forget the clay bar!

If you are not in need of correction, I am a huge fan of:
        > Wash
        > Clay
        > ColorX
        > NXT

I would go about it like this:
          Wash
Clay (especially it if has been exposed to all the elements for a year.)
          Color-x
          NXT

The only thing you would have to purchase is the smooth surface clay kit. Otherwise I tried to use products already in your arsenal.

I am a big believer in clay. It does wondrous things.
