I just traded in my red 09' Mustang which "had" swirls and the clear coat was hard so I used UC. And I bought a new 10' Mustang , black. It has veryyyy light swirls not near as bed as my 09'. So should I try from swirl x to UC or dive in straight to UC because color shouldn't matter since it the clear coat I'm working on right?

Re: Least-Most Agressive Question
Always use the least agressive product to get the job done. Your Car is brand new, hopefully it will not need Ultimate Compound.
I recommend a good washing, followed by a thorough Clay + Last Touch of the entire car.
Swirlx should be all you need. Also, It's black so try some M07 and NXT 2.0. You'll be amazed by the results.

Re: Least-Most Agressive Question
Hey Mike - I ended using UC over my entire car, but adjusted my pressure and arm speed to limit the "agressiveness" to the areas that needed it the most. The entire car had swirls and it seemed to help. I followed up with M205, and then wax. I haven't had it out in the sun yet, so Im not sure how it turned out completely. But I was very impressed with how the DA polisher worked, and how the M205 really helped bring out the shine. If I ever get around to it, I'll post some pics.
You could try the Swirlx, and then hit the bad areas with UC. I was just lazy, and didn't want to keep switching back and forth. Took a long time and I DON'T plan on doing that more than once a year for the entire car. I'll hit any areas I notice maybe as needed. So... give it a try and let us know how it works for you!
