  • Bug & Tar Remover on chrome...

I've got some tar spots on my Frontier's chromed rear bumper and side-steps, and was thinking of using the Bug & Tar Remover. Should I apply any protective on the chrome parts after the application of the Tar Remover?

Yes, I would recommend using either chrome polish, carnauba wax or polymer sealant. With chrome, it is always a good idea to add a layer of protection after cleaning.

        Hey,

I would also recommend the following to use after cleaning the tar off:

        NXT Generation All Metal Polysh

Fantastic stuff! Just be sure to thoroughly work the product into the chrome and wipe off with a quality MF. Then buff to a high gloss shine!!!

            Hi benhui,

The Frontiers in Malaysia all come with chrome rear bumpers. What do the US Frontiers have instead?

Ignore the arrow which points to the tail lamp guard, I got this picture off an auto parts website . But you can see the chrome bumper there.

              Hey Tim,

Would you use anything else as an added layer of protection over the NXT Polysh?

                Hey Frank,

I always used to use Meguiar's #20 Polymer Sealant on chrome. But since Meguiar's NXT Metal Polysh does offer Anti-corrosive technology, I have been using the Metal Polysh by itself and very happy with it!
