  • Collinite 845 on a dark blue car?

    Hi all.

Had a question as a rookie detailer. I hear really great things about the Collinite 845, but they seemed to be mostly for the lighter-colored cars. I have a dark blue (pacific blue pearl) Sonata, and I want to go for a very wet, shiny look that is also durable and provides great protection. Would the Collinite by itself be sufficient for this, or would you recommend that I combine it with another product to maximize wetness/shinyness on my dark-colored car?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much.

What is this Collinite you speak of? If you can find it, try Meguiar's #16. Absolutely beautiful on my black car. I hear Mequiar's NXT 2 is great also for dark colors.

Realize that this is a Meguiar's web site. LOL

While some may argue this, I've found Collinite 845 to perform very well on the following colors,

      • Silver
      • Green
      • Red
      • Dark Blue
      • Black

      • Keep in mind that the all of the cars had clear coated finishes.
      • Clay and paint correction on all of the above was performed first then Collinite 845 as the LSP.
