  • Anyone Fly With Detailing Products?

I'm traveling for work - a lot. I've been home a grand total of 12 days since Jan 9. Living in a hotel gives you tons of idle time to browse the internet and buy stuff like power tools and detailing products.

Here's the question, has anyone packed chemicals into their checked bag? Reason I ask is that I've got 32 oz bottles of Body Solvent and All Season Dressing I'd like to take home in 2 weeks to use on my wife's car. Bottles are capped and fully wrapped/taped from ADS so leakage isn't a concern to me. The TSA website just says that non-flammable liquids are allowed with no volume limit for checked bags.

If they can't go on the plane I'll have to wait until mid or late July to take them home and play with new products - also have Super Soap, M105, M205, and a couple of other things I'm forgetting in my hotel room.

I've had a bottle of whisky in my suitcase before.

You should be fine, but it wouldn't hurt to call the airport and ask. Declare the products even if you have them in your checked bag. Nothing more embarrassing then being removed from your airplane by sky marshals.

Do not bring clay. TSA may think it is C4
