#07 as first coat; will wax not hold as well?

I'm just wondering: If I use #07 first, is there any chance that the oils and other magic ingredients would prevent the binding of wax applied afterwards? Also, any chance of the cleaners in #20 removing the magic ingredients from #7?

I think it depends on the wax or sealant that is applied on top of #7. I have not read any complaints about durability of carnauba-type waxes applied on top of #7 nor, for that matter, of NXT. On the other hand, there are many non-Meguiar's synthetic sealants that should not be applied on top of an oily glaze like #7.

Yep! A cleaner wax like #20 will most certainly remove #7.

I can find a link if anyone cares, but I did find (after a lot of reading) a post in the professional products section where someone found that #7 before NXT seemed to drastically shorten the life of the NXT.

If it were me I would do NXT then 07 and then top it with m26. That or not use the NXT at all. But if you use the NXT first the 07 will not shorten it's life.
