hi everyone i am new to this forum, and just want to say hi to everybody here ! Recently i have been trying to detailing my car but something bad happened..my car is black and i am using Ultimate compound for polishing since i heard alot of good feedback about it . 1st i started off by cleaning my car with soap+water then let it dried .Next i did was using claybar then i applying Ultimate compound for polishing .After these step i found out that my car did turn out very shinny but undering the sun there was LOTs of SWIRL MARKS...I knew that Ultimate compound should be great for removing swirls but my question is did it do something wrong during applying UC ? i was using hand+Microfiber Pads for application, so can someone please to me what should i do now to remove the ugly swirls ? .thank you everyone !

Hi David, and welcome to MOL.
Sorry to hear about this result when using our products. What kind of car do you have? We have seen this sort of thing in rare cases of extremely delicate paint, and the situation is only compounded with black paint.
You mentioned using a microfiber pad to apply - how much pressure did you use when applying the product, and did you wipe it off before it dried? Also, did you just work in small areas at a time, about one foot square?Michael Stoops

thx guys !! i drive a black 08 lancer ...i think i was rubbing too hard when i am applying UC .........and i was in a rush that day so i just did applying most of the car at once..so i knew it was me who creating the swirls..very sure is not UC cause it's a great product ..anyways could you guys suggest how i can remove the swirls ?thank you allComment
