  • 3 quick questions...

What is #7 PURE polish for? Why and when would i use it?

Is there something that "restores" trim color? NOT A DRESSING and NOT #39/#40...

And finally, is there anything that works like "wesleys bleach white"? Or can i buy it in bigger sizes?

    Thanks

It's usually for darker cars, it makes it a deeper shine. You can't tell as much on silver, white etc.

I don't know about the others, just remember to put a wax/sealant over #7 as it's oily and wouldn't last long without something sealing it in.

I've seen Bleche White in half gallons at NAPA. After using it for decades I switched to Amazing Roll Off. It works comparably without staining aluminum rims, works just as well diluted 1:1. Gallons are availalble at numerous online vendors. Better hurry, most are having sales through today, some with free shipping.

Actually there are two products I have seen that restore trim color and are not so much dressings as they are dyes:

Black Wow: Sort of a dressing but stays for months at a time and really brings back faded trim pieces

Showroom New Restorer: This one is a dye

If you are looking for a semipermanent actual black dye type product there is one called "Forever Black." I haven't tried it though.

I have tried showroom new, the black trim dye and I don't really like it because it doesn't go on very evenly and looks kinda streaky once it dries.

Personally I like using rustoleum glossy black plastic spraypaint for really faded trim. I did it on my windshield wiper cowl.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

                    I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
                    Remove swirls my friends.

I just picked up some of this stuff and it works very well. It goes on easily and the thing I like about it is it lasts!!
