  • Mercedes Emblem

I am pondering getting a E class coupe. As I was looking the car over, in pure neurotic fashion , I couldn't tell what this was made of and it was bothering the heck out of me...so I was trying to figure out if I need to put, a metal cleaner, chrome,or Plexus on this. Anybody have any idea what this thing is made of that sits on the hood?

I have no idea but check it from different angles. If it has a smooth surface and depth to it like BMW hood badges, then I would guess it's some type of resin to seal/protect the metal and paint. The clear resin on such emblems can be treated like paint.

I've seen this. I just wax over it and whatnot.

The E Coupe is really a beautiful car. I think you'd enjoy it.
