      Maybe a DA or UC?!?!

      Thanks

If three applications of SwirlX is getting you good, but not quite awesome, results then it's time to step up to something with a bit more "oomph". That product is Ultimate Compound. Use it exactly the same way you've been using SwirlX and you should be fine.

Wait..... You used a "cleaner" and got thousands of swirls?? Wow!
What cleaner was that? I've known most cleaners to not do a whole lot of correcting ad not having much abrasives .... I wonder If you might have inflicted some scratches via the application process (crud on ur app pad)??

A paint cleaner is any product tha cleans the paint of defects. Some though are stronger than others. DC1 is an very mild cleaner and will not remove many defects while Medium-Cut Cleaner when used with a rotary can remove 2000 grit sanding marks. Ultimate Compound is another powerful paint cleaner. Paint cleaners can remove scratches, stains, oxidation and many other correctable paint imperfections.

As per title, I've used MCC with YSPP.

I've tested UC on 5x5" surface, 3 passes 90% swirl free, 4th pass I'd say 100% swirl free. All gone!!!

Now I need to do the whole car

As I already applied polish (after claying), sealant & 2 coats of HT#26 wax, do you suggest to using Dawn or alcohol take all the above off and do the UC, or I am fine to do it without taking polish, sealant and wax off first?!?!?

                  Re: Medium cut cleaner disaster

You can go ahead and apply UC rght over the wax you have on. It will rub through the wax rather quickly and you will have to reapply after finishing.

                    Re: Medium cut cleaner disaster

The polish and M26 should be no match for the UC, even hand applied. But the sealant could pose a bit of an issue, depending on the polymers in it, and how fresh the application is (ie, how much is still there). It's rare, but some polymers can be quite durable and really slow down a paint cleaners ability to do it's job at first. Heck, some polymers will even slow down a damp sanding process!!

A quick wipe down with a 50/50 mix of water and isopropyl alcohol should strip the paint quite efficiently before you tackle the rest of the car.

Glad to hear UC is helping you get the results you're after!

Thanks Michael, I'm still thinking to proceeding now (by hand) or wait for the G220 ...
