  • Pollen after car wash?

Heyy when i do my full detail claybar polish in all, i have this funny feeling a day after im gonna have pollen all over my nice clean white car. Is there anything or anyway that i can clean it without washing it again? maybe ultimate quick detailer or idk?

The consensual wisdom is that the removal of pollen is most safely accomplished by washing, rather than by quick detailing. Pollen ain't like ordinary dust: it sticks to the paint surface by barbs and sharp points.

Depends upon the severity of the pollen buildup, and how long it's been left on the finish. If it is hot where you are, the pollen will harden onto the finish, thus require soap and water to safely remove.

I drove my S2k to work about 2-3 weeks ago, and a bunch of yellow pollen had landed on it. When I drove it home, most of the pollen had flown off. I used some instant detailer and the remaining pollen easily came right off. It was rather cool that day, so the stuff didn't dry, and harden on the finish. The s2k's finish is flawless, and had been waxed prior to taking it out of the garage. The last time I used water to clean it was 2 months ago. It is garaged.
