  • Correct application of Quik Wax

What is the correct technique for applying Quik Wax and will it stain trim?

    UQW will not stain trim.

    QW will.

With QW, you want to mist it on your applicator to dampen, and then mist some on the panel, so you can apply a very very thin coating. Go around the car, apply, then go around the car and remove.

Would NXT Spray Wax be applied in similar fashion?

Same as QW, yes. And same staining.

        UQW is much better though.

Yeah, I love UQW. I am just checking out other options as UQW becomes expensive after a while. Thanks for the responses!

Will m135 stain? I know it's comparable to UQW, but I don't know if it's "the same".

Re: Correct application of Quik Wax

              #135/UQD will not stain.

But they dont leave quite the same protection behind as UQW.

              UQW leaves the most protection.
UQD/#135 lubricate to remove light dust, and leave a little protection, mostly for water run off.

Dangit, I meant UQD not UQW lol....wish they sold a UQW or equivalent in gallon size.

Would be nice, but not sure detail shops worry about spray waxes.

I'm not worried about shops I'm thinking selfishly here haha. I use a lot of UQW and if it was in a gallon size it would be a lot cheaper. I was my car 2-3 times a week and use either UQD or UQW after each wash or at the very least weekly.
