  • "Painted" wheels...what to use to clean?

I just painted my wheels yesterday and the paint is pretty dry already as it dries pretty darn quick (krylon gloss black) and i was wondering what can i use to keep these clean?

I thought of just taking a sponge and using the soap i already have for the car itself and just going through with that instead of brushes and wheel cleaners.

    Any suggestions?

Soap and water is all I usually ever use. I woudl assume that Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner would be safe for the paint on the wheels but I would wait for clarification. In the meantime, I would use soap and water (the same soap you use to wash your car if you'd like) as that gets the job done for me about 90% of the time.

I like using apc on the wheels.

I encourage everyone *NOT* to use All Wheel Cleaner. It works on some wheels ok, but it will change appearance of brake components and whatnot.

All Wheel Cleaner is like the strongest they have. Stay away. I paid the price once.

Go with the Aluminum Wheel cleaner, it is the most gentle. You will *have* to use agitation with it too, but I like it, and it's pretty safe.
