I must really not be very good at this. I had many swirls on the hood of my Porsche that I wanted to take care of yesterday and as I began my wash, I saw water spots on the hood. I have no idea how they got there, since they're only on that front part directly above the grill - sprinler maybe?
Anyway, I washed and clayed then got the G110v2 for some correction. The clay did nothing for the water spots, which is pretty much what I expected. I UC'd a test spot on the hood and it didn't do anything. Speed 5 with a 2.0 polishing pad and UC with some pretty good pressure. I did 3 passes and I didn't even make a dent. It actually looks like it gave me more swirls. I have to buff outside, but I'm under a carport in the shade so yesterday I hauled it into the evening sun and I didn't see them. This morning I went out in the bright daylight sun and swirl city with water stains to boot.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?? Here's an AFTER photo this morning:
