  • Next Step Advice

I wanted the car to look good for a family event next weekend. Yesterday Friday night and most of today, I got the car fairly clean and ended up with a final of some #7 followed by #26.

The weather forecast is for rain next week and this car is my daily driver.

I have tomorrow available to me for some more work. Striving to keep the great shine and reflections, what would you recommend I do tomorrow.

Another coat of #26 or UQW or UQD or wait till after the rain and do something. Oh it's black. I have those products plus Nxt Tech and Gold Class Plus available also.

    Any advise will be appreciated...Thanks,

I would give it a coat of GC+ when the rain is finished. I really love how deep the paint looks after a coat of GC+ especially on dark colors.

I'd go with another coat of M26.

            Re: Next Step Advice

I put on the second coat of #26 and later in the week it rains, twice, and I wash the car with Gold Class and it doesn't look too bad.

The day of the event and we head out on Interstate and lo and behold I get behind a semi that spews something all over the front of my car. Dog gone it!!

I find a touchless car wash and get the minimum wash with at least a blow dry. I've got some Ultimate Quik Detailer, but only one microfiber.

The wash doesn't foul up the finish and after UQD it looks pretty good.

So #7 followed by two coats of #26 seemed to hold up pretty well.

            Thanks all,
