  • Strange Glass Problem

Recently, I noticed strange circular patterns on my windshield when it is wet and the wiper or a towel is drawn across it. They look like patterns possibly left from a drying towel that was moved in circular motions. When it is not wet they cannot be seen.

I tried a number of glass cleaners and alcohol, thinking it could be wax or Swirl X that was spattered and wiped off, but this did not help. I'm thinking my next step will be to clay then try something like Ultimate Compound or Swirl X.

Any thoughts from you much wiser experts out there?

You could try claying them. After you clay the windows use some M83 DACP it will leave the glass as new.

Then you may use something like RainX or UQW.

Definitely give the glass a claying. You will be surprised what you will remove.

Also after claying, you could go over the glass with #4 heavy cut cleaner.

I don't have access to much of the detailer line. Is UC okay, and should I do it by hand or with my DA?

          UC is worth a shot.

Also have had the RainX Original Treatment seem to remove stuff.

Is using the DA advisable, or should I stick to doing it by hand?

I would do it by hand.

                    Re: Strange Glass Problem

Thanks guys. Clayed, which didn't take care of it, then moved on to UC by hand, which appears to have handled the problem. Thanks for all of your help.
