    Re: question about quick detailer

Ultimate quik detailer= hydrophobic properties. Not for use with claying.

Quik Detailer. Can be used for claying. No hydrophobic properties

Never have tried the NXT Speed detailer. No info there.

    Hope this helps some.

Nxt Speed Detailer is very slick, kind of like the Last Touch of the Consumer Line. Not my favorite for claying. Really not much need for it if you have QD and UQD.

http://www.meguiars.com/video/index....VideoName=Quik Tips Series – Creating a “Smooth as Glass” Paint Finish

check out the video linked above...shows you how to properly clay bar your car. All claying is, is using "clay" to remove contaminents from the surface of your paint. The video above will show exactly how its done...

            Re: question about quick detailer

Here's some videos to hopefully help you out:

            5-Step Paint Care Cycle

            Washing your car

            Claying your car

            Surface prep

Waxing your car would be next.

            Maintaining your finish

Now, here's the thing. NXT Speed Detailer, Quik Detailer, and Ultimate Quik Detailer can all be used as quick detailers to remove light dust, fingerprints, fresh bird droppings, etc. Only the NXT Speed Detailer and Quik Detailer can be used as a clay lubricant in conjunction with a clay bar - Ultimate Quik Detailer is neither recommended by Meguiar's for use as a clay lubricant nor is it formulated to be used as one. UQD is the only product of the three that has hydrophobic properties, meaning it will help repel water. So you could do what I do - have the Quik Detailer and only use it for claying, and use UQD for removing light dust and such.

Hope this helps answer your questions. If you have any more or are still unsure of something, please feel free to ask.

              1. You may use Quick Detailer just for cleaning the light dirt and dust between washing (such as after a rain), but it does not add any wax protection. It is very slippery and won't scratch the car.

              2. You may use Ultimate Quick Detailer to do the same, plus it adds to your wax protection.

Sorry I don't know about NXT Speed Detailer.

                Re: question about quick detailer

Sorry about the confusion. When you use the clay bar, it needs to be lubricated to work properly. Quik detailer is a good choice for the lubricant.

I like using the quik detailer for when the vehicle has light dust or fingerprints on it.
While Ultimate Quik Detailer is used for the same principles. It also has the benefit of hydrophobic properties. Which help in sheeting off the water. Because of the hydrophobic properties, it is not recommended for use as a lubricant when you use the clay bar.
