  • Applying #81

    Hi Mike
I applied #81 Hand Polish after #83. It seems like the paint gets kinda cloudy. Is this resulting from applying too much of #81? BTW I am using rotary buffer and removing by MF.

81 is ment to be applied by hand, or maybe by orbital at the most. I think using the rotary is your problem. Try applying it by DA polisher or by hand and see if your results change.

I was just about to post the same thing, #81 Hand Polish is formulated to be applied by hand, dual action polisher or orbital buffer, not with a rotary buffer.

If you have any problems with this product on the finish from applying it with a rotary buffer, I recommend you remove all you can with a soft, clean, 100% cotton towel, or microfiber polishing cloth and then re-apply a thin coat by hand or with a dual action polisher. You only need to apply a thin coating. Then remove it immediately afterwards. Meguiar's pure polishes do not need to dry before removing and allowing them to dry will only make removal more difficult.
