  • Where 2 get Training to become a professsional detailer

    Hi All,
I'm just curious where the pro detailers get training to hone there skills or learn new ones. Is it possible for a newbie to take classes or something similar and practice enough to become a pro?

Or even if a newbie wanted some hands on training to gain more confidence in there abilities, how would one go about it?

    Thanks!
    Chris

        Hey Chris,

You might want to think about hooking up with a nearby detailer. That would be a very good way to gain more confidenece and maybe even some hands on training. Here's a link to some of the detailing businesses in your area.

This is very good advise. A seasoned professional can teach you things that on you're own will take years to learn. A seasoned professional can also help you to avoid mistakes.

I've always liked the below saying,

It's better to learn through other people's mistakes, you might not live long enough to make them all on your own"

I often meet young guys that are either car crazy and want to learn how to take their car's finish to it's maximum potential, or want to start detailing cars for income. Often times I'll invite them to watch and help me detail something that will require a broad range of work, this way they can learn by doing and with supervision. Detailers are Car Guys and car guys are good people, you already share a common interest. Seek out the top three detailers in your area and simply tell them that you want to learn more about detailing and perhaps one of them will take you under their wing.
