You dont have to. All depends how the paint looks after the UC.

      Hey aris,

If UC finishes out okay then you can go straight to LSP. I still find that using M205 after UC gives the finish more gloss and overall clarity.

          Thanks
I have never used any of the LC pads, so I cannot really recommend them. But I do know that UC works great with a W8207 pad, and M205 works great with either a W8207 or W9207 pad as well.

Are you working on your own car, or are you doing a detail for a customer? Just curious.

          I hope this helps though.

I want to learn on my own car before i start doing any thing like this for a customer.

Well, Meguiars makes 3 general pads, cutting, polishing, and finishing.

The 8207 is polishing (yellow), and the 9207 is finishing (black).

Here, this will help you choose the aggressiveness you need. But the UC works wonders with Polishing pad.

Follow it up with M205 in Finishing pad if your not satisfied with the result.

                Hope this helped.

Since UC is a consumer product I would assume it is designed with out the following use of a detailer product such as 205
