Okay, I'm not sure but I think this belongs in the "we told you so" category. So feel free to say, "I told you so".
It has been raining, my car was dirty, I was in a hurry, daylight was fading, so I drove through a touchless car wash. I wanted the blow dry, so I had to go for the more expensive wash which includes their finish treatments. I'm going to do a full clean, polish, and wax in a week or so, so no big deal right?
I pulled out to dry some of the remaining droplets of water when I was greeted with black leopard spots, seemingly just on the sides of the car(?).
Forgive the horrid photo, but you can make out the spots on my hands. Standing on concrete next to a wooden fence. Those are not spots on the concrete, they're on the car. Pea sized to dime sized at the most.

I carry Ultimate Quik Detailer with me, always. In a panic, I spray some on and wipe it off. NOTHING, spots remain. Okay let's try some more and a bit of "passion". Now they start to go away. I don't like getting too carried away with microfiber as black Lexus paint seems to draw swirls out of thin air. Daylight faded and this morning the car seems okay.
Oh experienced and wise ones, what in the world were those spots? I must admit its been since March since I've done a full clean, polish and wax (Gold Class) on the sides of the car. Hood and liftgate are fresh with #26, which had no or few leopard spots. My theory is the spots are areas my wax protection is wearing thin and absorbed their product.
Thanks,
