I am trying to set aside time to clay a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. How long on average should it take to clay the entire Jeep ?

Re: Wrangler Unlimited / Claying Time
For a 2 door car (Toyota Solara) which hasn't ever been clayed before how many clay bars do you think it would take? I just did my first one and it took 2 bars I wanted to see if I was in the right area per say.

You could likely do any vehicle with 1 bar of clay max. I would intend on using that bar again too. I personally break a bar in half and use one half for the lower portions of the vehicles. I then use the other half for the upper portions. I really aim at keeping this bar very clean.
How much clay you use can also depend on how nice (expensive) a vehicle is, and what you plan on doing during the following stages. If you are going straight to wax you may want to be more careful than if you plan on polishing the vehicle (surface corrections).

Re: Wrangler Unlimited / Claying Time
Certainly depends on how thorough you are being, and how dirty things are.
But yeah, 7 minutes on a fairly clean door would seem slow. But if you get very dirty cars to work on, then it may be more in the ballpark.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Wrangler Unlimited / Claying Time
Yesterday I clayed my 2010 Fusion an it took about 1.5 hours with a couple of short breaks. Being only 1 year old it wasn't very dirty but I made sure it was clean by claying in both directions using plenty of detailing spray. I probably used more lube than needed, I went through 3/4 of the bottle. The result, a showroom finish with chrome that reflects like a mirror. I guess it will take as long as it takes if you want to make sure it's done right.
