I have some pretty bad swirls in my paint. I've tried the deep crystal paint cleaner and it definately helped but I think I can do better. Is it safe to use the deep crystal paint cleaner followed by scratchx, deep crystal polish, and nxt tech wax?

If you have a small area to do, like a body panel, go with the Scratch X. If you have a PC I would go with MPPC or #80, they will work much faster and are more aggressive than Scratch X. You can probably find #80 locally at a PBE dealer.

Any of the products mentioned are safe to use after the Deep Crystal Cleaner.

Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner and ScratchX are both paint cleaners, the ScratchX is more effective at removing swirls because it contains a diminishing abrasive while the Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner is a chemical paint cleaner only. You typically would only use one and not both and after the cleaning step move on to polishing and protecting.
Try the ScratchX by hand working a small section at a time.

Thanks Mike! That really helped because a bird dropping etching is a big problem that I have right now.Last edited by turbodreamer; Dec 25, 2004, 08:28 PM.
