I wanted to share my experience and say thanks!
I have a 1987 Toyota MR2 I bought used 19 years ago - 240K and still runs great, repainted but the finish has seen better days - so, since last year when I bought my first new car- a 2008 Subaru WRX, I have been doing my best to take care of it because I know I'm going to own it for a looong time. Thanks to this site and some others I went out and invested in some Meguiar's products - Clay Kit, Swirl X, Red bottle Polish and Carnuba Wax. I debated over the clay kit, but it was worth it - the car looked fantastic after that step alone! The Swirl X took care of some of the more agressive swirls, and scratches and the polish went the rest of the way. The swirls are barfely noticeable - about 75% gone and it is a major improvement- even though this is almost a new car that looked pretty nice to start. I speant about 7 - 8 hours total (including washing and drying).
Thanks and happy trails!
