  • uc?

so i am leaning towards ultimate compound. see i get scared of new products. ie: leaving holograms? will this happen with ultimate compound?

i will be applying with the g110.

i will start with ultimate compound and finish with nxt 2.0. do i need any other steps in between or before my wax?

    so basically my questions are:

will using the ultimate compound leave holograms?

will it be hard to get off after breaking it down?

and do i have to work ultimate compound until it dries?

and last, after applying and working ultimate compound, mynext step will be nxt 2.0. am i doing this correctly?

oh, what would be the best speed on the g110 to work with the ultimate compound?

sorry for all the questions. thanks in advance.

UC + G110 is a very safe combination. It's likely you won't encounter this problem.

UC is a very nice product and it's easy to remove compared to other compounds in the market.

Never let a product dry. Working with the G110 and dry product can cause some scratches to the surface. Also dry product is very hard to remove

You could. Really depends on the condition of your vehicle. If you want more clarity, deep wet look than I would follow with a less aggressive product like SwirlX and then continue with NXT 2.0

    Speed 5 using UC
    Speed 3 using NXT 2.0

Good luck with your detail and have fun. You've chosen some really nice product

okay. my questions seem to have been answered very well.

only thing i'm in limbo over is after applying the ultimate compound, you say to use the swirlx? why is this? so it wouldn't be safe to just follow with nxt 2.0? if i need to apply another product then what would be a better and easier alternative to use after the ultimate compound?

i kind of was hoping to do minor corrections with the ultimate compound and then follow straight to my wax like nxt 2.0 or gold class.

oh, i also have a new bottle of megs fine cut #2, havn't really tried it but was wondering if this product is as effective as ultimate compound and as easy to use.

and if i did use the fine cut if i could jump straight to my wax of choice?

oh, last thing, i have a couple meguiars yellow polishing pads for my g110, these would work just fine for either the ultimate compound or the fine cut right?

        again, thank you.

It's safe to go from Ultimate Compound straight with NXT 2.0, lots of people have done it and had great results. Since paints are different then they act different to certain product so I only suggested SwirlX for example because if you experienced some kind of hazing or you are looking more gloss and clarity in the paint SwirlX would come in handy.

I would stick with UC since it has a new abrasive technology

UC and Fine Cut Cleaner are safe to use with DA and Polishing Pad
