I am using the 4 inch pads on small areas where the 7 inch pad is to big to get any rotation. Can't seem to find speed recomendations in the forum. Any feedbck would help, Thanks, Guy.

Re: Speed for 4 inch soft buff with the g110v2?
You can use it up to speed 5, the top speed you really should use for the 7 inch pads. You may not have to go this high though because the 4 inch pads will give more cut so you may only need speed 4. Remember, least aggressive method.Tedrow's Detailing

The 4" pads do seem to oscillate faster than larger pads at the same settings, but that makes sense. At setting 5, the 4" pads start to flatten out from the centrifugal force. Not sure how that plays on the life of the small pads, but I try to keep the speed below 5 as much as possible.

Generally speaking you can get away with slower speeds when using a 4" pad versus a 7" pad. The smaller pad concentrates all the energy of the tool into that small area so you can gain significant cut. This applies to D/A use only - using a smaller pad on a rotary buffer actually gives less cut since the outer edge of the smaller pad is not moving as fast the outer edge of a larger pad would.Michael Stoops
